Marketing Communications, Digital Content, and Social Media Support - Part-time

We are seeking a multi-talented marketing communications, branding, and social media professional to support our Sales and Marketing function as we grow into new markets. This is a part-time position, approximately 15-20 hours per week, that will work closely with our Head of Community Development.

The primary functions of this role are:

  1. Assist with creating impactful digital communications material, including marketing emails, social media content, and website content
  2. Brand refresh – starting with our existing brand assets, improving on these, and introducing new elements that support our brand personality
  3. Support our team with social media strategy development and content creation using our Facebook Group of 50k members, and Instagram, with the objective of growing the MommyPow Community in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario
  4. Assist with other initiatives that support our online community building, community connections, and brand expansion into new regions in Canada.

Skills and experience required:

  • Graphic design skills, understanding of brand development, and fluency in the tools needed for social media content creation are required.
  • Experience with brand focused copy writing, graphic design and production of digital marketing assets is important.
  • Experience planning and managing social media calendars for brands and/or communities with larger audiences, and experience directing the participation of internal team members in social media content is also key.
  • Experience using the Shopify platform is an asset, but is not necessary.
  • Strong written and spoken English is required.

We expect this will be a hybrid working situation with some time working remotely and some time in our North Vancouver location. This can be structured as a contractor/consultant position that works on a project by project basis, or as a part-time employment contract for a minimum of 12 months. As an employment contract this would pay $24-$27 per hour to start, depending on experience. Hours are flexible and family-friendly, and there are perks like free products and staff discounts.

Please email your resume, along with a short covering note to jobs@mommypow.ca. We sincerely appreciate all interest but will only be able to reply to candidates that are called for an interview. Thanks!
